Garden Nile Belly Dancers celebrate win in "Belly Dancers of the World Competition"

Members of the Garden Nile Belly Dancers, Krystal Juarbe and Nelleke Pielaat, returned to Kauai celebrating their second place win in the "Belly Dancers of the World Competition". The competition, which was held in Duisburg, Germany on November 19th, with over 400 hopeful competitors from around the world vying for the top spots. Categories in the competition included Classical Oriental, Folklore, Oriental-Fusion/Fantasy, Tribal and Bollywood belly dancing. Krystal and Nelleke represented Hawaii at this competition. They competed in the Classical Oriental division by performing a duet to "Tahia's Song" which included veil and drum choreography. Krystal was also able to capture 6th place in the Classical Oriental Solo Competition. Congratulations ladies!
